Living the Rays: Bringing the Teachings of Splash! Into Everyday Life

When I wrote Splash! A Blue Dolphin Handbook for Peace, the Rays of Christ Consciousness were an important part of the spiritual journey I wanted to share with readers.

But these rays aren't simply ideas that exist within the pages of a book. Over time, they have become a meaningful part of my own daily life.

I've discovered that consciously working with the different colors and qualities of these rays can be a way of bringing spiritual awareness into ordinary moments—our thoughts, emotions, relationships, and responses to the world around us.

Recently, I've also been exploring new ways to bring Splash! to life visually. Through a series of colorful illustrations, the characters of Splash! are now expressing the beauty and qualities of the different rays.

I'd like to share some of these images with you, along with a few personal reflections on what the rays have meant in my own life.

Living the Rays

The main characters in the book Splash!, Lulu and Mono, give people and animals they are uncertain about the red ray of unconditional love. People and animals respond by welcoming them into their lives.

Your They give people and dolphins who are sick the light violet ray.

They give people involved in violent exchanges the purple ray of change.

Lulu and Mono give people who are afraid the indigo Ray of Courage.

Lulu and Mono teach others the 7 rules for living which are centered around the heart chakra rule, which is also known as the Golden Rule-Be kind to others as you would have them be kind to you.

I deeply know that a society in which people know how to manage themselves with the rays would be absolutely devoid of the polarity and hatred being demonstrated in the U.S. at this point in our history. It’s a volatile time as we approach the controversial midterms.

So, enjoy this version of Splash! I’ve found that creating the images in this book has benefited me with an impulse to send people relevant rays when certain situations present themselves. I gave the difficult lady at the DMV the red ray when she grumpily refused paperwork I presented to her. I went out to the parking lot, took a deep breath and saturated myself with the red ray of unconditional love. I envisioned her and sent her the red ray from my heart. I went back into the office. She beamed at me. She thanked me, accepted the paperwork, and made sure the license picture she took was attractive.

I frequently give baby dolphins I meet on my daily swims the white ray of bonding. Their mothers respond by bringing their babies closer.

When I think of the officials who run our country I feel nothing but despair but I’ve been waking up in the middle of the night observing myself sending them the light aqua blue ray of prayer. That ray, if it interpenetrates a person’s field has the potential to connect them with more depth to their guides and angels. I see no evidence this is working on behalf of these political figures, but I send prayer anyway. It lessens my depression.

I’ve co-led a silent meditation group here in Hawaii for about 15 years. We send healing energy to people in our community who are suffering. Prayer is the ray I send to these people during the silence of our meditation. This approach is meant to open these people to attracting support in their healing journeys.

It’s also entering my mind, more often when I’m around people suffering from physical afflictions, to surround myself with the light lavender ray of life force and send the ray to these people.

Anyway, since creating this audio-visual version of Splash it’s spontaneously entering my mind, when I’m directly in someone’s presence, to surround myself with a specific ray and send the ray from my heart to others. Am I 100% consistent in this ray practice. No!! I’m a work in progress. Join me!!
